Personal papers, 1942-1976.

Description: The bulk of the collection consists of course materials and materials relating to films made at Stout during the 1960s and 1970s. Course materials include course outlines, instructional guides, course requirements, and course objectives relating to courses in photography, motion picture production, audio-visual education, and media. Materials relating to Stout produced films include scripts, story boards, advertisements, teacher's guides, correspondence, news articles, and other forms of publicity, brochures and photographs of scenes in the various films. Of interest is a radio script (ca. 1952) for a Stout recruitment program. Also included is correspondence relating to the Audio-Visual Center at Stout and miscellaneous materials relating to audio-visual development at Stout as well as the audio-visual field in general.

Barnard, David, approximately 1937-

Barnard was a dancer, costume designer and theater dresser. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He moved to San Francisco in 1964. A year later, the San Francisco Ballet paid him to dance and design costumes, and in 1966, Barnard joined the wardrobe department of the San Francisco Opera. He toured frequently with the dance company he founded, No Theater, until the mid-seventies.
